Now age 73, Oscar López Rivera is the longest-held political prisoner in Puerto Rican history. He was charged with seditious conspiracy--the same charge for which Nelson Mandela was imprisoned--for his participation in Puerto Rico's independence movement. Please add your name to this petition urging President Obama to release Oscar before the end of his term as president. If we reach 100,000 signatures by December 11th, the federal government will review the petition and issue an official response.
