(The Dakota Access Pipeline is a $3.8 billion, 1,100 mile fracked-oil pipeline currently under construction from the Bakken shale fields of North Dakota to Peoria, Illinois. DAPL is slated to cross Lakota Treaty territory at the Standing Rock Sioux reservation where it would be laid underneath the Missouri River, the longest river on the continent.)
When: Thursday, November 17th at Fresno City College 12:00 pm in front of the Student Services building.
We are standing with Standing Rock and for our Earth. Our purpose in this is to raise awareness in what is going on in Illinois and why it is important that people everywhere should support the Sioux Nation's protest against further development of oil pipelines by the Mississippi River.
