Poet, satirist, songwriter, playwright, essayist Arnie Passman will read at the bfuu, featuring his smash hit single, “Acne is good for you.” Passman is the author of “The Deejays,” two plays about black radio history; a collected work, “Climbing Whateverest” an epic poem, “Occupy Your Nearest Country Club”; and is completing a poem about the 80 year history of morning radio from Arthur Godfrey to Howard Stern and beyond, how we ha-ha hate to get up in the morning. He is also the composer of a dozen musical histories of corporations, and “The Damned of Enchantment,” about the biggest nuclear accident in U.S. history, on the Navajo reservation, months after Three Mile Island.
