Make a difference for progressive caiuses
Come learn and dialogue about critical propositions on the November state and local ballot that will impact our communities. Learn how you can take action for progressive causes. This forum is being sponsored by a newly forming South Bay progressive alliance. Discussion topics include:
* Why progressives working together can improve our community
* What's up with plastic bags (Props 65 & 67) and Corporate Personhood (Prop 59)? How about Bilingual Education (Prop 58) and Progressive Taxation (Props 55 & 56)?
* The Death Penalty (Props 62 & 66), criminal justice and youth (Props 57), marijuana legalization (Prop 64), and our health (Props 52 & 61)
* Citywide Measure: San Jose Business Modernization Tax and Opportunity to Work
* Citywide Measure: Mountain View Rent Control
* Countywide Measures: Housing Bond (Measure A) and Transportation Tax (Measure B)
