Evidence, including eye-witness statements led Ms. Baker to question the police narratives. “Law enforcement should not be able to lie, cover up, and destroy families,” said Ms. Baker, “then tell me about a statute of limitations? On what? What is the statute of limitations on murder?” Police misconduct—killing and terrorizing, especially, people of color must stop now.
