Sensible Cinema presents a premeire screening of director Roger Weisberg's documentary
Dream On. The film investigates the perilous state of the American Dream in a epic road trip
retracing the steps of Alexis de Tocqueville's trip of 1831 which was a study of
prosperity in the country of America.
With the levity and political irony of John Fugeslang, the film puts a human face on the
endangered American Dream featuring stories of job loss, depleted pensions and home foreclosures.
After viewing Dream On the thought that arises often is the American Dream,"alive and well"?
or as George Carlin stated, 'It's the American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe it.
