Instead, Trump is denounced, rich people are excoriated, business-incentives are emasculated, sales taxes are resorted to, building developers are lambasted, poor-me-ism burgeons, piddly renter rights legislation gets promoted, and on and on. Meanwhile, the spirit and effect of Trumpism sails on.

Trumpism? It's simply the normative expectation that private parties deserve a good deal of, if not a whalloping amount of, the value of location. Low property taxes are the mechanism of Trumpism. And, remarkably, most of the liberal and moderate Democrats who wouldn't consider voting for Trump are, nonetheless, unwitting practitioners or would-be practitioners of Trumpism!
