Danny Haber and Alon Gutman target tenants with eviction and higher rents

Oakland — Danny Haber and Alon Gutman owners of The Negev LLC, Negev 2, LLC, 1919 Bayside LLC, and other corporations dealing with residential properties in San Francisco, have been in the news repeatedly in Oakland in recent months for their alleged harassment activities, and due to alleged code violations and for shady deals leaving tenants residing in their buildings, in slum like conditions.
Despite being in the news repeatedly for their activities involving real estate properties in California, it appears that there are not any records with the Secretary of State in California, showing that Danny Haber and Alon Gutman have a real estate license in California. And it appears that there are no real estate license records available for their corporations that are involved in property management. California state law requires property managers to have a real estate license in California.
Additionally, the permit records for the City of San Francisco have Danny Haber listed as the architect for several permit listings, however it appears that there are not any public records in California showing that Danny Haber is actually licensed to be an architect in California.
Indeed. During 2015, in a report from 48Hills.org, it mentioned “The “Evictions Profiteers of the Year” award, which was given out to the mock “Danny Haber” and “Alan Gutman,” for finding opportunity in the wake of a devastating Soma fire,” in San Francisco.
Tenants tell scary stories of living under the thumb of landlords Danny Haber, and Alon Gutman, and the stories of harassment continue with their exploits taking place in Oakland.
Tenants in Oakland’s SRO residential hotels have taken a beating thorough the years due to a lack of protection for the low-income hotels by the City of Oakland, according to the East Bay Express.
Danny Haber of Long Island, had legal problems in Madison, Wisconsin, long before he had his legal problems in San Francisco and Oakland, with tenants in the low-income SRO hotels.
Low-income renters have been targeted for years with evictions and fires in many low-income rental units including many SRO’s that have had slum-like conditions. When Jerry Brown was promoting the 10 K Plan to bring in 10,000 higher income renters into Oakland while he was mayor, he also had a plan to displace all the low-income renters from the SRO hotels in Oakland.
