Tell Oakland City Council: Let the Cops be the Bad Guys

CODE RED ALERT FOR JULY 26TH OAKLAND CITY COUNCIL MEETING

The City Attorney is advising the City Council that they must take out the part of the ballot measure to establish a police commission that allows them to impose discipline on officers who have engaged in misconduct.

PLEASE CONTACT YOUR CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS and demand that they reject the City Attorney's advice and stand with the people of Oakland who are demanding a process that holds our police officers accountable. A half-baked, half-hearted proposal that cannot provide justice for the victims of police abuse is NOT ACCEPTABLE.
