Remember Your Rights — Message from the NLG After Sacramento Antifa Protest
Keep Calm and Know Your Rights
Remember Your Rights!
In light of recent protests in Sacramento, which may result in police investigation and interrogation of people believed to be connected to these events, actions or movements, we would like to remind people of their rights.
If you are contacted by law enforcement:
1. You have the right to remain silent. If the police or other law enforcement contact you, come to your door or your hospital bed, you can invoke your rights by saying "I am exercising my right to remain silent, I would like to speak to my attorney."
2. You can call the NLG SF Bay Area Demonstrations Hotline at 415-285-1011 and we will work to provide a free attorney to represent you.
3. You have the right to record police, but please be mindful of footage you put online and in social media as it may be incriminating to others.
