Unless nature lies, free market economics is the rule of the universe. The deep truth that makes a Libertarian shudder with disgust, however, is that private ownership of the market value of nature is absurd because it abrogates the truth that the creator of value is the owner of value, and it is the emergence of community, not mere ownership of land, that generates land value.
Come along on a walking tour of San Francisco social movement history that explores the proposition that socializing the market rent of land will profoundly improve social relationships. If all the economic reforms of well-meaning radicals and reformers were implemented but the control of land values remained with private parties, systemic poverty would remain implicit in the cross subsidy legislation do-gooders propose.
In the time of high hopes with Bernie and great dread with Trump--make no mistake, Sanders offers a far sight better alternative to what's current--the failure to address the land question is the failure to address San Francisco's real estate debacle.
FREE, but not for the faint-hearted.
