New documentary debuts in the Bay Area this week spotlighting why farm animals are more than a meal
OAKLAND, Calif. – Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary and Altruistic Light invite the community to view a sneak peek of new documentary "Called to Rescue: Redefining Our Barnyard Story" in the San Francisco Bay Area this Sunday, May 22nd at Oakland’s New Parkway Theater (474 24th Street) at 12:30 PM.
"Called to Rescue" is a documentary film that showcases the incredible work being done on animal sanctuaries, including Harvest Home, for the fortunate farm animals who have been saved from the modern animal agriculture production machine. The documentary film team is a unique family vision. The core crew is Naomi Sophia Call and her two sons, LA based filmmakers Auston Call and Loghan Call.
Proceeds from the Oakland sneak peek will benefit Harvest Home, a Stockton-based farmed animal rescue, rehabilitation, and education center. The event will feature a Q&A with the documentary's filmmakers and sanctuary operators.
Film tickets are available for advanced purchase online at http://thenewparkway.com or at-the-door.
