The Family Next Door is a story about the Lund family and their journey into the hyper-complex and emotionally draining maze that is autism. We followed the Lund family with their 4 children, 2 of which are on the autism spectrum, for 16 months. What began as a story of the everyday challenges of the Lund's older son evolved into a portrait of how an entire family is impacted by this increasingly pervasive diagnosis. The isolation, confusion, and gnawing self-doubt they experience as they navigate the world of autism is captured in real time.
