City Lights Publishers is pleased to announce a reading featuring old school and new school Bay Area poets at Book Passage!
Joanne Kyger reads with Julien Poirier on Sunday, May 22nd at Book Passage in Corte Madera, CA.
“An Afternoon with City Lights Publishers”
- Poirier is celebrating his new poetry book with City Lights, Out of Print, no. 14 in the City Lights Spotlight Series. The series is meant to shine a light on accomplished figures known in the poetry community as well as young emerging poets.
- Kyger is celebrating the re-release of her Japan and India Journals: 1960-1964 from Nightboat Press. Her newest poetry book, On Time, was published by City Lights in 2014. She’s one of the major poets associated with the Beat Generation and San Francisco Renaissance.
- Together they represent the breadth of poetry in the Bay Area across two generations.
