Alana Apfel, author of Birth Work as Care Work, will discuss the revolutionary work of doulas, and the politics surrounding such labor. Her book, a vibrant collection of stories and insights from the front lines of birth activist communities, has a preface, introduction and foreword by Loretta Ross, Silvia Federici and Victoria Law, and will be available.
