The film "The Emerald Forest" is an amazing adventure and environmental drama. The film is based loosely on a true story of a young child who is raised by an indigenous tribe in the Amazon. It is a film from decades back that somehow was under the radar, though many to this day consider it one of their favorite films. You may look at Rotten Tomatoes and see that this is a beloved ecological film that you might want everyone to see as they look at the values of our U.S. "empire" and others that may not value consumerism and extreme greed as acceptable values. This film is appropriate for Earth Day month, even though one of our treasured late members Hal Carlstad liked to say that every day is Earth Day and we the homo sapiens species are just one part of this beautiful earth. Also this film is beautifully filmed in the rain forest which gives us so much.
