Protect Monterey County takes another step towards fracking ban
On February 23, Protect Monterey County gathered at the steps of the old courthouse in Salinas to announce the delivery of their "Notice of Intent to Circulate Petition" to "PROTECT OUR WATER: BAN FRACKING AND LIMIT RISKY OIL OPERATIONS."
The next step will be signature gathering to place the measure on the November 2016 ballot.
Protect Monterey County is a community organization working to ban oil extraction methods that put our health and local economy at risk.
