Our 3rd & final film is Norma Rae. Sally Field won the Oscar for her performance in the title role. A young single mother and textile worker agrees to help unionize her mill despite the problems and dangers involved. The story is based on Crystal Lee Sutton's life as a textile worker and then union organizer, in North Carolina where the battle for the union took place against a J.P. Stevens Textiles mill.
