– The 5th annual Y For Youth Luncheon on Friday, March 18 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts will celebrate the impressive achievements and successes since the event was launched in 2012. In five years, more than $1.8 million has been raised at the annual luncheon that brings together hundreds of Bay Area corporate, community and philanthropic leaders to support the YMCA of San Francisco’s programs serving more than 10,000 youth each day.
The YMCA of San Francisco serves youth and their families in San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin counties, unlocking opportunities for youth with a range of programs. Starting with infant and toddler daycare, the YMCA of San Francisco is there to support families in raising the next generation of leaders. Throughout their lives, youth can participate in enriching programs including sports, day camps and summer camps, youth and government classes, mentorship and alternative high school opportunities.
More than $1.8 million has been raised through the Y for Youth Luncheon since its inception in 2012. Each day, the YMCA of San Francisco serves over 10,000 children through 14 branches and 120 community sites.
“We’re incredibly grateful to the growing community of compassionate leaders who has joined with us to support our future,” said Chuck Collins, President and CEO of the YMCA of San Francisco. “With your continued support, we will be able to fulfill our promise of helping all youth reach their full potential.”
Individual tickets for the Y For Youth Luncheon start at $500 while sponsorships run $5,000 to $50,000 and are available online at http://www.ymcasf.org/yforyouth, or by calling (415) 281-6780.
The YMCA of San Francisco wishes to thank the following sponsors of the Y for Youth Luncheon: Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Lindsay & Peter Joost, John & Liz Willingham, Swirl, Randi & Bob Fisher.
About the YMCA of San Francisco
The YMCA of San Francisco makes accessible the support and opportunities that empower people and communities to learn, grow and become healthy. With a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y nurtures the potential of every youth and teen, improves the San Francisco Bay Area's health and well-being, and provides opportunities to give back and support neighbors.
At the YMCA of San Francisco strengthening community is our cause.
