Flint water crisis: This is what austerity looks like

Friday, Feb. 5, 7pm
2969 Mission St., SF

Protests are growing in Flint, Michigan, over the state’s cover-up of the ongoing water contamination crisis. Protestors are demanding the arrest of Governor Rick Snyder for allowing an unelected emergency manager he appointed to switch the city’s water source to the long-polluted Flint River to save money. The people of Michigan cannot count on their elected officials. Only by uniting the many of Michigan against the few bankers and ruling politicians—can the tide be turned and can the people be empowered to lift themselves out of poverty and oppression.

Joining our meeting via Skype, is Roger Scott. Born and raised in Flint, Scott will report on the impact of this crisis on the working class.

PLUS: Primary election update: Vote Socialist in 2016!.

2969 Calle Mission, San Francisco
