No Justic No Peace! Labor Joins Rally At SF City Hall Protesting Execution Of Mario Woods

We need a massive march on Market Street from the Embarcadero to the Civic Center on Jan 18, 2016, Martin Luther King's birthday holiday, led by labor & Black Lives Matter, with lead banners demanding the firing of Chief Suhr and the cops who killed Mario Woods. We should also demand the abolition of the police department since they are not social workers; they are armed thugs of the capitalist class. We can transfer all the money given to the police to social services and to the city workers' pension funds, which are apparently in serious trouble. Execution squads are a sure sign of fascism. It is more than gentrification. It is an open attack on the entire workingclass which is now only 10% organized in this country. The net result of no labor organization is police state terror, no pay raises, no affordable housing, no socialized medicine as exists in the rest of the industrialized world, no federally mandated paid vacations and maternity leave as exists in the rest of the industrialized world, and the continued existence of the death penalty, which has been abolished in most of the world, not just the industrialized world.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR KILLLING ANYONE WITH A KNIFE. Every cop should be trained in basic self defense to learn to disarm a person with a knife without the use of force.

Martin Luther King was assassinated when in Memphis, Tenn to speak in support of a sanitation workers' strike. Labor has always been an integral part of the civil rights movement, and must always be so.

We need to rebuild the mass march movement, and the movement against police killings is a good place to start. The sleep walking in this country that exists with no serious mass marches must end if anything is to change. And when we are done marching, we must support the people who always support civil rights struggles, namely Peace & Freedom Party and the Green Party. The Democrat-Republican parties are the twin parties of war and fascism. Both proudly support not only all the blood for oil wars, but also arming the police and increasing their funds. They are paying the chief of police in SF over $300,000 a year, and an equal amount in benefits as he gets at least 90% of his pay as a pension. The police receive $100,000 a year and up and the same in benefits. One of the killer cops who assassinated Mario Woods receives $166,000 a year. This is a bribe by the local Democratic Party machine to keep killing. I expect everyone who showed up at the rally in this video is registered Peace & Freedom or Green since the Democratic Party is the same racist killing machine as the Republican Party.
