Meet in front of the Santa Cruz Public Library on Church St at 1pm. Bring your own signs that express why you want our leaders to act to stop climate change at the UN Climate Change Conference. We will march, rain or shine!
We will end the march at the library about 2pm, and attend a free documentary showing about the relationship between diet and climate change. Did you know that simple changes to your diet can reduce the shorter lived climate forcers, which would cool the earth quickly? So even if our leaders fail to act, the future is in your hands! And it requires no expensive technology or equipment, so just about anyone can join in.
In the movie, the film makers interview leaders from the National Resources Defense Council, Greenpeace, Surfrider Foundation, Rainforest Action Network, Amazon Watch, Sierra Club, Sea Shepherd, Save Our Water, Oceana, and more. They also present research data from the United Nations, World Bank, and other major studies. All sources are posted on their website. A must-see!
Executive producer: Leonardo DiCaprio
UN Messenger of Peace with a special focus on climate change
