Join the Stop Mass Incarceration Network on November 22 in outrage. ONE YEAR ago, Tamir Rice was killed in less than two seconds of police arriving to the park where he was playing. One year since the murder of Tamir Rice with NO justice for his family.
A Grand Jury investigation has begun in Cleveland, OH but by the actions of county prosecutor Timothy McGinty it is possible that we will see a repeat of the decision not to indict the officers responsible for killing Tamir, as we saw with Eric Garner and Michael Brown and too many others.
We will be honoring his memory and family with an outdoor protest, speaking about the need for a new direction in society that demands “Police terror and murder must stop NOW!”
If we got in the streets to remember every single person that police have killed, we would never go home. We would be in the streets every day, because people are being killed every day. We must keep speaking their names. We must continue to organize, stand together, and raise our voice to the world. We refuse to live quietly and obediently in a country where the color of your skin puts a police target on your back.
