Raging Grannies to McDonald's: Stop Pesticide Drift Pt. II
On a national day of action, in solidarity with rural residents of northern Minnesota affected by pesticide drift from potato farms, the Raging Grannies sang in front of the Palo Alto, California McDonald's.
On October 6th, in solidarity with rural residents of northern Minnesota affected by pesticide drift from potato farms, the Raging Grannies sang in front of the Palo Alto, California McDonald's.
Along with a volunteer from the Pesticide Action Network of North America (http://www.panna.org), we tried to deliver a letter asking McDonald's to keep a pledge made in 2009 to reduce pesticides in their produce sourcing and supply chain.
Two very well-prepared managers refused to take our letter and tried to scoot us out We were not to be so easily sent away and hung around for awhile, making our case. Must have heard we were coming...they looked to be PR employees, talking faces from regional headquarters.
