My Brooklyn is filmmaker Kelly Anderson's personal journey
of the dramatic transformation(gentrification) of Downtown
Brooklyn and the Fulton Street Mall.
Filmed over the course of several years, My Brooklyn allows
us to see how government policies and corporate developers
join forces to displace small businesses and longtime residents.
Even though the film takes place in Brooklyn three thousands
miles away this type of neighborhood transformation takes place
here in the Bay Area and in cities across the United States.
