Many SF churches are having blessing of the animals during regular service or at St. Francis feast events this Sunday, October 4th.
For example, my church - St. Francis Episcopal on Ocean Avenue (399 San Leandro) is blessing animals (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc.) during the regular service at 10 a.m. as well as after the service at 11:30 a.m.(if you're not in the service mood). Starting at 11:30 we'll have: 1) Outdoor pet blessings; 2) Photo portraits with your companion animal, 3) a doggie adoption event with Niko Foundation, and 4) hot dog lunch with veggie options. All free & all are welcome!
