Postal Heritage Day at the Berkeley Post Office
The postal unions have written to President Obama, asking that the occasion be celebrated every year as Postal Heritage Day. In Berkeley, we've been celebrating it every year at 2000 Allston Way since our struggle to save the P.O. began in July of 2012. So we'll be celebrating three years of so-far successful struggle to prevent a sale of the building. Portland, Seattle and other cities are also holding Postal Heritage Day celebrations.
2015 also marks the 100th anniversary of the opening of the new Berkeley Main Post Office in 1915.
Peter Byrne will be speaking at the event - with new revelations about CBRE corruption in the sale of post offices. Josh Kornbluth is being asked if "Ben Franklin" can be there. Dave Welsh, Hali Hammer, and the band "Galaxy Chamber" and possibly more to come will provide music.
Meaning, the Christian churches, Christian zombies, and so forth, who "help the homeless" routinely do exactly what the FBI may not do--read so much as the front of your mail. But places like Primavera Works in Tucson hand homeless people mail which has actually been opened.
"Oops looks like this one got opened by mistake."

If you want to do anything to "help the homeless," try a legal assault on the USPS for denying the homeless rights to use their system.
