June 20, Saturday, 5:30pm ~DISRUPT U.S. CONFERENCE OF MAYORS PARTY PLAN
The Hilton Hotel Union Square
333 O’Farrell St.
SF
The mayors plan to party hearty while cops continue to kill Black and transgender men, women, and youth across the country. They will be boarding buses to attend a “Color of Life Global Celebration” at the California Academy of Sciences. Join with APTP to dampen their party.
Across the country mayors have allowed their police departments to become heavily militarized, with weapons and equipment provided by the U.S. military. They’ve invited repressive regimes like Israel to provide their departments with training
We demand that the assault rifles, tanks, drones, and other military style offensive weapons be removed from our cities’ police departments. Instead we demand complete control over the police by the communities which they are supposed to serve.

June 20, Saturday, 6:30pm – 7:00pm~ Extinction of Nature In Our Parks
California Academy of Science (in front outside)
Golden Gate Park
SF
Inside the Cal Academy of Science, Mayors will enjoy tasty treats and cocktails while touting how “green” their cities are. Along with the “sustain-a-babble” they’ll enjoy virtual stars, living virtual ecosystems, and enjoy private moments of virtual reflection on the green grass roof.
Outside, we’ll keep it real. We’ll greet them with signs and hold vigil with candles.
We’d like them to know that we do not appreciate turning our grass fields into hazmat (toxic astroturf) dumps for kids, that we are better stewards for our public spaces than their private partners, that extirpation of species in Our Parks is unacceptable, and that the Degradation of our Environment—the Extinction of Nature—is Our Concern.
Bring candles, homemade signs, sticks, your voices, and convivial spirits to show your support for Our Environment. Some signs will be provided. We will make an impression and leave no trace.
