Budget Justice Hearing
Friday, June 19th
9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (come anytime)
City Hall, San Francisco
Mayor Lee has proposed to build eight new academy classes for San Francisco police officers at a cost of $61.3 million. This is equal to the amount of money the city is paying to house 6,000 formerly homeless people! Let's make sure the Supervisors hear what our communities really need including $30 million for affordable housing site acquisition and $16 million for critical safety net services for low-income families, seniors, youth and our most vulnerable. This is another opportunity to remind supervisors that housing, fair wage jobs, and basic services will keep us all safe, not more cops or jails.
