San Francisco's social movement history resoundingly revolves around real estate. Who's got the good spots. Who's got the most spots. Who's allowed in. Who's pushed out. But through it all it's been the steady, community-wide desire to be "where it's at" that has pushed land values up, and with the private ownership of those values has come the predictable result of many being economically squeezed as more and more of their wages go to rent.

Come along on this free walking tour that explores the consequences of treating land values as community revenue.

Song, interactive question and commentary, and real-life illustrations add to this critical thinking approach to historic and contemporary real estate-related issues.
