The U.S. Conference of Mayors is coming to San Francisco. On Friday morning, June 19, the conference opens with the "Police Chiefs Task Force" – a meeting of some of this nation’s “killers-in-charge”, responsible for the cold-blooded murder of thousands. As we say, "Every City, Every Town, Has Its Own Michael Brown"! All over the U.S., there is an epidemic of murder at the hands of the police, and directed overwhelmingly against Black and Brown people. This must STOP!! NOW!
But the mayors and their police chiefs are NOT about stopping it. They are about covering up, promising petty reforms that never come and in the face of these murders, excusing and legitimizing the cops actions, and giving them a big green light to kill some more. Enough is Enough!!! These criminals are not welcome.
The Stop Mass Incarceration Network (in conjunction with the Occupy SF Action Council) is calling on people to be there – representing the thousands of “Stolen Lives” who can no longer speak!
