Activists protest Sprouts Grand Opening

Activists from the Gill Tract Community Farm protested and rallied at the new Sprouts Market, on tax day, in solidarity with workers fighting for a living wage. They arrived by bus with signs, speakers and music. Their message? Don't develop the Gill tract farm in Albany, where Sprouts is planning to building yet another store on open space. Activists and community members have been fighting UC Berkeley for decades trying to save this last little bit of farm land from being paved over.
