Academy Award Winner for Best Foreign Film, “IDA” follows Anna, a novitiate nun in 1960’s Poland, as she learns the history of her family and confronts the realities of secular life outside the convent.

This film celebrates the life and work of the legendary author whose stories of the “shtetl Jew” inspired “Fiddler on the Roof” and provides a delightful biography of the actor, Theodore Bikel.
Sunday, April 26, 3:00 pm: “Havana Curveball”
Trials of a Palo Alto bar mitzvah boy, as he attempts to gather and ship baseball equipment to kids in Cuba. Q & A with filmmaker and Santa Cruz Cuban Caravan members follow the film.
Sunday, April 26, 5:00 pm: “Apples from the Desert” (Israeli)
A young orthodox woman meets a fun-loving kibbutznik. Trouble ensues in this romantic comedy-drama.
Wednesday, April 29, 6 pm: “East Jerusalem/West Jerusalem” (Israeli)
Israeli musician, David Broze and a troupe of Palestinian music makers attempt to spread peace through music.
Wednesday, April 29, 8 pm: “The Green Prince” (Israeli)
This riveting film and true story about the highest ranking informant ever recruited from the terror-sponsoring group, Hamas won the Audience Favorite World Documentary award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2014.
