Come along on a free walking tour exploring the question, "Should taxes on the nature you consume be higher than the taxes on the labor you produce?"

That prosaic, even dull-sounding question is at the root of the housing and wage crises in the Bay Region.

Should those who own land pay a mere portion of the annual value of the nature they own while taxes on teachers, brick layers, secretaries, burger-flippers, mortgage brokers, laundromat clerks land body punches to take-home pay?

The walk is an introduction to San Francisco social movement history, and posits that privatized land values are the central antagonist in social history.
