Freud's Daughter Now Revealed in New Book

Imagine growing up gay in a family whose world-renowned father calls lesbianism a gateway to mental illness. And it is always, he said, caused by the father and curable by analysis. Now imagine that he analyzes you.

Rebecca Coffey has written a fictionalized account about what may well have transpired in the Freud household after Anna Freud revealed to her father Sigmund that she loved women, and will read from "Hysterical: Anna Freud's Story" on Feb. 25 at The Green Arcade.
