At Direct Action Everywhere, we have one -- and only one -- mission: to take nonviolent direct action until every animal is safe, happy, and free.
Over one year, we have mobilized activists in over 71 cities and 17 countries in powerful demonstrations. We have triggered international media coverage from Italy to Japan. And, last month, we announced the start of a new and powerful tactic: open rescue and investigation... going to places of violence, documenting the horrors within, rescuing the victims, and telling their stories to the world (https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=873933519303665).
Victims such as Mei Hua - a young hen who was struck on the head and left for dead in a "certified humane" facility. Sprawled on the floor and unable to stand, excrement rained down on her in the crowded shed. She survived only by desperately feeding on the filth that covered her. By the time DxE investigators found her, she was dehydrated and starved, dazed from head trauma, and -- after days of unimaginable terror and pain -- about to die.
DxE investigators rescued her and gave her a chance at life.
But we need your help to tell her story. The full campaign will be announced in the first week of January -- including revealing the corporate empire at the heart of this engine of violence and lies. This will be our biggest and most important day of action yet. Please join us, as we speak for the right of Mei, and every animal, to be safe, happy, and free.
