Washington NFL Team, Change the Name! Change the Mascot!

The stupidity and contempt for education we see in San Francisco with the fixation with the local gambling racket known as "professional" baseball, which stinks the same as "professional" football, is a constant reminder that we need to GET RID OF ALL OF THEM. Changing the name and changing the mascot (there is no need for any mascot for this garbage) is like making a silk purse out of a sow's ear. We see the imbecile "fans" going to the games in various costumes sold by the team when we work in the Financial District, and are appalled that anyone would get dressed up in uniforms to sit in a stadium to get stinking drunk to watch grown men bat a ball around. Football is even worse since the athletes physically attack each other. Then, they pay a lot of money for junk food sold by poorly paid vendors who cannot afford to live in San Francisco, or anywhere at all; many are on food stamps. The icing on the cake is the parade for the gladiators of this Roman circus, in a society that gives people circuses instead of bread, just like Ancient Rome. This insane parade is when the City allows tons of paper to be thrown onto the ground DURING BUSINESS HOURS when we, the workingclass, are trying to work for a living. This writer stays home until 2 p.m. because having ONE MILLION SCREAMING IDIOT FANS outside my window is intolerable. The parade is preceded by a "celebration" the previous night or two by drunken hoodlums destroying our city. The idiot fans, both poor and not so poor, take their children out of school to see this garbage, which has ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNIFICANCE WHATSOEVER and provides no educational value. All of the restaurants in town are empty because no one want to come to a town where a riot is expected. Apparently, the City of San Francisco does not care. The buses are taken off the streets in all bar districts because one year, one of the drunken hoodlums destroyed one of our buses and nearly killed the driver and passengers.

The parents of the "A" students do not take their children out of school, and we all know who the "A" students are in San Francisco. (Hint: They refer to San Francisco as Gold Mountain.)
