Come listen to talks about the crisis of the thousands of children from Latin America who have emigrated seeking refuge in the United States and who are under threat of immediate deportation because of lack of legal representation and who suffer separation from their families.
There will be speakers and experts on the reasons for the recent arrival of unaccompanied children, on the current situation in their countries of origin, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, México, and what is being done in the Bay Area to defend the rights of the children.
It is very important that our community support the children!
Among the speakers:
Leonel Casco Gutiérrez, Honduran attorney and Human Rights activist, on the Central American emigration
Chelsea Lala, San Francisco attorney, working with the legal team in defense of the children
Sponsored by BALASC
Refreshments, snacks, $3-5 donation requested, no one turned away for lack of funds
