On Tuesday, October 21, 2014, there will be a Santa Cruz City Council Candidates Forum about RENTERS' ISSUES, from 7-9PM at Louden Nelson Community Center (Center and Laurel Streets in Santa Cruz). The forum is sponsored by SANTA CRUZ TENANTS ASSOCIATION.

The forum will be moderated by Mithrell Bowerman, member of SANTA CRUZ TENANTS ASSOCIATION. This event is free and open to the public. All questions will be about issues related to RENTING, RENTERS, and affordable RENTALS in the city of Santa Cruz. Questions will be posed by SANTA CRUZ TENANTS ASSOCIATION. Audience members who wish to pose questions may submit them ahead of time (see email below) or before the panel begins. Room 5 opens at 6:45 PM. Questions begin at 7:15 sharp.

§Renters revolt!!!

I hope this candidates forum demonstrates to future City Council members that renters' rights is an important election issue which they can't ignore. If Santa Cruz renters unite — students, the elderly, the disabled, the poor, people of color — we can fundamentally alter the local political landscape.
