Only three years after ending the eight-year occupation of Iraq, and with Afghanistan still occupied, the U.S. is launching another war, this time in both Iraq and Syria. What is the new U.S. strategy in Iraq and Syria? Despite the crimes of the Islamic State as a reactionary force, why should we oppose this new U.S. war? What will be the likely effects of this new war on the people of the region?

Join us for in-depth talks and discussion on the history of U.S. interventions in the region, the current situation and how to mobilize against this latest U.S. war..

Solo tres años después de terminar la ocupación de ocho años de Irak, y con Afganistán todavía siendo ocupado, los EEUU está lanzando otra guerra, esta vez en Irak y Siria. ¿Qué es la nueva estrategia estadounidense en Irak y Siria? A pesar de los crimenes del Estado Islámico como una fuerza reaccionaria ¿por qué deberíamos oponernos a esta nueva guerra estadounidense? ¿Qué serán las consecuencias probables de esta nueva guerra sobre los pueblos de la región?
