The closed Telegraph Ave. (between Dwight Way & Durant Ave) becomes a stage for the merged Berkeley World Music Festival and the season finale of Sundays on Telegraph. Join us for a mix of main stage entertainment, street music 'n art, circus, community and interactive play.

Berkeley World Music Festival returns to a two-day event Saturday & Sunday, September 20 - 21, 2014.

At the invitation of the City of Berkeley, the Festival is partnering with "Sundays on Telegraph" to provide the music programing for their season finale. This will also be the first time that the Festival has occurred during UC Berkeley's regular school term.

Saturday's offerings include the featured concert in People’s Park with Crafts Village & KIDS Zone, as well as continuous music performances in Telegraph Avenue venues and along the sidewalk.

On Sunday, the Festival takes off on a new direction with one main stage and the palette of music, street art, circus and visitor activities interspersed on the closed blocks of Telegraph between Dwight Way and Durant Avenue.

The mission of the Berkeley World Music Festival is to support and promote the local artist and performance arts, as well as cultivate artistic vibrancy and social value of the world music panorama for the benefit of local communities.

By fostering ethnic literacy, the Festival promotes diverse musical traditions and furthers the recognition of the Bay Area as a center for world music and artistic expression.

Berkeley World Music Festival is currently a California corporation pending 501(c)3 status. Descisions are committee and board based. Ashkenaz acts as its non-profit fiscal sponsor.
