IF you’re treated like a suspect, a gang banger or drug dealer, just because of the color of your skin,
IF you’ve had a friend or loved one killed by police,
IF you, or a loved one, is one of 2.4 million locked up, or in the clutches of the criminal “Injustice” system,
IF you, or your family, are targeted, detained or deported cuz you came from “Somewhere Else”,
OR, IF you JUST HATE how other people are treated, and want it to STOP,
Then… YOU need to ACT!
October 22nd
National Day to Stop Police Brutality,
Repression and the Criminalization of a Generation
Rally and March, 1 PM
Oscar Grant Plaza (14th/Broadway) Oakland
NO WORK!
NO SCHOOL!
NO BUSINESS AS USUAL!
The people of Ferguson poured into the streets to demand justice for Michael Brown – standing strong in the face of everything the authorities threw at them. Their example has set a new standard in determined resistance. It has inspired us, and people everywhere.
October 22nd is part of the Nation-Wide October Month of Resistance to Mass Incarceration, Police Terror, Repression and the Criminalization of a Generation. Oakland, and the Bay Area, has a powerful history of struggle, known the world over. We need to play a BIG part in this national movement to End Mass Incarceration and all the ways it targets, brutalizes, locks up and demonizes people.
October 2014 must be a month where thousands and thousands all across the country, stand up
to say Mass Incarceration, Police Terror, Repression and the Criminalization of a
Generation must end NOW! Not the next generation, not in ten years, but NOW!
October 2014 must be the beginning of the end of Mass Incarceration in the U.S!
Be part of CHANGING HISTORY!
