Again with this sub-Leninism masquerading as anarchist? You couldn't find anyone else but Heyman, who's been expelled from virtually every political organization in the Bay Area? The self-congratulatory ship blockade, with no mention of the total lack of interest among the ILWU to participate in a picket? No mention of the health and safety issue that stops them from crossing a community picket? This kind of legalism makes a mockery out of labor coalition-building for specific political goals. The facile analysis of the role of police is almost at the level of a high school sociology paper. The downward spiral into irrelevance for a particular strain of activistitis is in full force in this latest offering. Three strikes and you're out. Please just go join the Peace and Freedom Party already.
by just wondering
or what activism is Slim doing now that matters to anyone?

how does Slim have the powers that be quaking in their boots?

talk about irrelevance. Slim's comment is the dictionary definition of the word "projection"

Criticism is not diminished by not offering an alternative; that's the bourgeois liberal way. You seem to subscribe to the Bambi school of manners: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything. Sorry, but that's also a bunch of bourgeois liberal bullshit.
And take your Freudian psychology to the next Peace and Freedom Party meeting.

I thought the first issue of EASTWEST had significant problems, and that's putting it mildly, but the subsequent two issues are at least somewhat better.

It doesn't involve any defense of the specific politics of Jack Heyman to note that given the state of things in today´s SF Bay Area, being thrown out of numerous organizations is not exactly a hanging offense. And to claim as the anonymous internet keyboard tough guy "Slim" does that nothing should exists unless it can exist in a guaranteed state of perfection is a projection of the grandiosities and inadequacies of cranks like "Slim." If Slim is who I think he is, we are talking about a multiple decades long track record of inadequacy here.

Hey "Slim," what have you been involved in the larger world ouside of your comfort zone? And over how long a period of years are we talking about? You can be specific without giving away your much treasured anonymity. I can't imagine the authorities could be paying much attetion, anyway.

my favorite part is that most criticism of this issue (which is basically just Slim) is directed at the interview... which is prefaced by two things:

1. it's a reprint from FireWorks. Not an EastWest original. But it's only worth your time once it's in PDF form?

2. a disclaimer of political differences between the paper and the Heyman.
by yes, it certainly is
To offer absolutely zero alternatives is to offer a perspective, if you can even call it that, devoid of substance. And then to carry on blithely as if your empty perspective nevertheless should carry some sort of gravitas with people here?

That is about as diminished as a perspective can get, and displays a bewildering level of delusion.
