The Unitarian Universalist Peace and Justice Committee is hosting an event by The Rebuilding Alliance and Right To Movement. Participants from the Palestine Marathon will speak on the experience of competing in this unique event. The name of the last organization refers to Article 13 of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights: "Everyone has the right to freedom of movement."
The ten runners are young professionals and two students, ages 19-25 years old, and will also have run in the San Francisco Marathon on July 27th. They are part of Right to Movement, a non-profit, non-religious, non-political organization of over 300 runners based in Bethlehem that organizes the annual Palestine Marathon.
Admission is free. The organizers will ask for donations to help cover the cost of travel to the Bay Area to participate in the SF Marathon.
