Yanira was killed by the S.M.C. Sheriff’s Dept. The Serrano Family, and the community of Moonridge, would like to inform the public of this tragic incident, but also hold the Sheriff’s Deputy accountable!
Whereas: The Serrano Family called 911 for assistance with a family member, not the for the apprehension of a SUSPECT, or a CRIMINAL,
Whereas: The Officer, having full knowledge that the individual, Yanira Serrano was in need of psychological and/or psychiatric assistance, (as evidenced by 911 Dispatcher stating that this was a ‘5150’ call),
Whereas: The Officer’s ‘Use -Of-Force’ was not only Homicidal in Nature, it critically put many others at risk, and,
Whereas: NO ATTEMPT has been made, to this day, to provide therapy, counseling, or ANY ATTEMPTS WHATSOEVER, to address the VIOLENCE INFLICTED UPON THE RESIDENTS OF MOONRIDGE, AT THE HANDS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT,
