This is the second talk in a new series at Modern Times,
State of the City Forum, featuring a panel of guest authors and activists discussing the issues of concern to residents of the Mission and citywide in a rapidly changing San Francisco.
San Francisco Poet Laureate Alejandro Murguia heads the panel on this evening to discuss displacement and the desecration of community and cultural resources, from the Fillmore to the Mission. Representatives from San Francisco Community Land Trust (SFCLT) will be there to discuss alternatives to eviction and Alliance of Californian's for Community Empowerment (ACCE) will talk about ongoing campaigns to resist displacement and outmigration from the Mission. Special guest visual artist, TBA.
