Come hear scientist and activist Dr. Sandra Steingraber, acclaimed author of "Raising Elijah" and "Living Downstream," on the known and hidden dangers of fracking and how to build a movement to stop it. Sandra co-founded New Yorkers Against Fracking and has been a tireless global advocate against extreme oil and gas extraction. She's just returned from addressing the EU and standing with the fracking resistance on the Romanian frontlines against Chevron. (Her website is at http://steingraber.com/ .)
This event is a special fundraiser for the brave folks in 3 counties in California who are putting FRACKING BAN initiatives on their county ballots in November.
Tickets are $20 at the door. Donations beyond the ticket price will go directly to help local communities fight Big Oil money. The tsunami of oil dollars has already begun and your help is urgently needed!
Sponsored by 350BayArea, Californians Against Fracking, Center for Biological Diversity, Food and Water Watch, Ecology Center, Sunflower Alliance and others.
