We are going to be reading from the unreleased 2011 text, To The Insurgents by the Invisible Committee. For years this text has floated through exclusive circles and now that we've got it in our hands, we're going to give it you.
We will read the second half of this text aloud. If public speaking is not your thing, you can still come to listen, read, and discuss. Some refreshments will be provided.
Extract from text:
"How do we free ourselves from domination when the very organization of our survival is what dominates us? How do we overthrow governments armed to the teeth without ever agreeing to militarize ourselves? How do we annihilate power without becoming a power ourselves? What does it mean to win? It’s up to today’s insurgents to make the victory of the insurrection more desirable than a return to the existing hell. It’s a matter of giving oneself the means to exit the present order in a definitive way."
