Although Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) has petitioned Bernie Sanders to enter the 2016 Democratic primary, the idea is still quite controversial. Should he run as a Democrat, an independent, or not at all? What criteria should progressives use in choosing a candidate, and what strategies should we follow in promoting his or her campaign?
At our June 26 Forum, we will watch Bernie in action in selections from his recent speeches and other public appearances, and hear from a panel including representatives of Progressive Democrats of America, the Democratic Party and the Green Party.
We will also honor the memory of PDA founder and inspirer, Tim Carpenter
Speakers:
Rafael Mandelman, Member SF Democratic County Central Committee
Tom Gallagher, PDA-SF chair
Barry Hermanson, GreenParty
(additional speaker to be named)
Sponsored by Progressive Democrats of America-San Francisco (sanfranpda [at] aol.com) and Unitarian Universalists for Peace-San Francisco
