Come learn how to make your own herbal healing salve! A salve is simply a healing topical treatment for the skin. Salves have been in existence almost as long as humans have harvested plants for medicinal use. They are great first aid for cuts, burns, rashes, and scars as well as excellent moisturizing treatments for chapped lips, dry elbows, cracked heels, gardener’s hands or any body part needing deep hydration.
While making your own you’ll learn about some incredible skin healing plants and bring your creation home with you for year-round use. All materials and ingredients will be provided.
Sarah Buscho has studied natural medicine and health in various forms since 1998. She earned a BA in Community Studies from the University of California Santa Cruz, with a focus on Indigenous Medicine. She became a certified western herbalist through Ohlone Herbal Center in 2007. Currently she has her hands full with a natural skin care company called Earth Tu Face where she leads product development, outreach and implements strategic brand growth.
